SARI BARI

Sari Bari is a freedom business which provides freedom and opportunity through employment to women exploited in the commercial sex industry and young women vulnerable to human trafficking.  The women of Sari Bari are trained as Artisans, taking vintage saris and up-cycling them in to beautiful quilts and bags using the traditional Kantha stitch.  Every product is marked by a woman’s name and every purchase participates in her freedom.

Sari Bari opened its doors in 2006 with three women and now employs more than 120 women for freedom and has 18 more women currently in training taking the next step toward freedom and a new life.
